Yes. Wellmax is a gay sauna in Bangkok, for gentlemen aged 20 to 55. In fact it's the world's first gay saunatainment — a gay sauna reinvented with immersive art, an infinity Hall of Mirrors, and a live game.
What is Wellmax?
Wellmax is the world's first gay saunatainment — sauna meets entertainment. A Himalayan salt sauna, herbal steam room, ice baths, cold buckets, immersive art rooms, and a few things we'd rather you discover. Sweat. Restore. MAX.
What does saunatainment mean, and why is Wellmax the first?
Saunatainment is sauna + entertainment. Nobody had combined real heat and cold — salt sauna, steam, ice — with immersive digital art, infinite mirrors and a gamified night out. Wellmax did. That makes it the first saunatainment in the world.
Where is Wellmax?
In the basement of Wall Street Tower on Surawong Road, Bang Rak — central Bangkok, a short walk from Silom and the Sala Daeng and Chong Nonsi BTS stations.
When does Wellmax open, and what are the hours?
Opening 14 August 2026. Hours: Monday to Friday 2 PM–1 AM, Saturday and Sunday 12 PM–1 AM.
Who can visit?
Wellmax is a gay sauna for gentlemen, ages 20 to 55. Bring a photo ID — we may check it at the door. No entry for anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and illicit drugs are absolutely not allowed.
Do I need to book?
No. Wellmax is walk-in only — we don't take reservations, ever. Entry is ฿400. Just come.
What should I bring?
Just a photo ID. Towels and the essentials are provided, and lockers are secure.
What's the difference between the salt sauna and the steam room?
The Himalayan salt sauna is dry, high heat with salt walls and moving light. The herbal steam room is warm, thick, and humid. The sauna hits harder and faster; the steam is softer and easier on the lungs. Most people move between the two — then hit the cold.
Is Wellmax connected to Maxwell Onsen?
Yes. Wellmax comes from the team behind Maxwell Onsen — Thailand's flagship gay onsen. Our herbal steam room is a direct tribute to Maxwell's legendary one.
